Lyncée Traceability: A New Trusted Third Party for Responsible Sourcing of Strategic Mineral Resources

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 10:00

After more than two years of collaboration between the TRACE Group and BRGM Invest, the company Lyncée Traceability is officially being launched.
Born from a strategic partnership between TRACE and BRGM Invest, the new joint venture’s mission is to ensure the traceability, origin, and integrity of supply chains for strategic mineral resources such as lithium, gold, copper, titanium, and mica.

An Alliance Serving Transparency and Responsibility

Lyncée Traceability extends and strengthens the partnership initiated in 2023 between BRGM, the French Geological Survey and a scientific leader in geochemical fingerprinting of mineral resources, and TRACE Group, a specialist in digital traceability solutions.
Through this joint structure, both partners are pooling their expertise to provide industry players with reliable and verifiable proof of the responsible origin of their raw materials.
In a global context of increasing demands for ethics, environmental protection, and sovereignty, the ability to demonstrate transparency and sustainability across supply chains has become a strategic issue for many sectors—mining, refining, aerospace, automotive, luxury goods, and cosmetics.

“Faced with the opacity and complexity of supply networks, only traceability enhanced by innovative scientific methods and proof of data integrity and immutability can restore trust. Lyncée Traceability is designed to deliver that guarantee—for the benefit of industries, investors, and consumers.”
Michel Peccenini, President of Lyncée Traceability

A Hybrid and Innovative Approach

At the heart of Lyncée Traceability’s offering lies a major innovation: the combination of geochemical science and trusted digital technologies.
This unique approach integrates:

  • Advanced geochemical analyses, including isotopic methods, to establish the material’s unique fingerprint;
  • Blockchain notarization, to immutably, confidentially, and securely record every stage of the material’s journey;
  • Artificial intelligence, to connect, interpret, and leverage large-scale data.

“Linking a product’s geochemical fingerprint to an auditable blockchain record revolutionizes the concept of traceability: we move from declaration to demonstration.”
Catherine Lagneau, President of BRGM

Integrated Services for the Entire Value Chain

Lyncée Traceability targets companies in the automotive and aerospace industries, as well as luxury and cosmetics brands, offering a comprehensive, end-to-end solution that includes:

  • Responsible sourcing and investment advisory,
  • Traceability consulting and operational deployment,
  • Document and supply chain traceability,
  • Physico-chemical and isotopic analyses for traceability,
  • Integrated traceability and origin guarantee services.

The first implementations are planned for the first half of 2026, with major partners in the automotive and cosmetics sectors.
